PA Student Hurt In Serious Fall Hiking On Class Trip

A Montoursville high schooler was hurt after falling during a field trip to the Jacoby Falls Trail in Gamble Township on Wednesday morning, Oct. 4, school officials said.

The student was evacuated by first responders, though Montoursville Area High School officials declined to comment on his condition, "out of respect to the family."

"Please keep this student and his family in your prayers," MAHS administrators wrote.

Jacoby Falls is in Loyalsock State Forest and is a 1.6-mile hike from the trailhead on Wallis Run Road.
